Who are we?
The company SKALA 3D has existed since 2003. From its inception, we have based its operations on our family traditions related to land surveying and this company “grew out”of these roots. With the passage of time as we gained more experience, we expanded the scope of services to include photogrammetry and indoor mapping. We are particularly specialized in laser scanning and the development of mobile measurement systems; in this area, we have already acquired a wide range of experience. We operate efficiently and are well acquainted with the mining and robotic environment. We are also familiar with issues related to databases and polar engineering. Many years of professional experience coupled with our comprehensive education and modernity give our company a unique niche character.
Our company’s activities mainly include the provision of services in the area of widely understood laser scanning. In this area, we have already acquired a broad range of experience, in particular in the mining industry and indoor mapping.

The Mobile Mining Platform keeps busy, helping us add new mining shafts to our collection. So far this year, we have been providing comprehensive laser scanning services in the field of measuring the geometry of shaft lining and reinforcement elements in both Lublin and Lubin, Poland (Bogdanka Coal Mine and KGHM Polska Miedź).
Laser scanning projects completed by SKALA 3D in 2019 focused not only on mines and mining shaft, but also on various factories, galleries and even yachts! Such diversity once again demonstrates the company’s extensive expertise and great potential.
On 10 December 2019, a conference concluding the regional operational programme for Lublin Voivodeship for the years 2014–2020 was held at the Lublin Conference Centre in Lublin, Poland. The conference focused on the activities undertaken over the period by the Lublin Agency for Entrepreneurship Support.
The Leader of Innovation Competition brought together the best and most innovative companies of Lublin Voivodeship and awarded those whose contribution to the region’s development proved the greatest. The competition was held in four categories – bioeconomy, health and medicine, low-emission energy technologies, informatics and automation – and the Final Twelve comprised three companies in each of the categories.
We are proud to announce that one of the twelve was SKALA 3D, which received a nomination for the Leader of Innovation Award in low-emission energy technologies.
On 10–13 September 2019, the International Trade Fair for Mining, Energy and Steel Industry was held in Katowice, Poland. SKALA 3D took part in the event and presented its products, including among others the Mobile Mining Platform.
The collection of mining shafts scanned by SKALA 3D by means of the Mobile Mining Platform continues to grow. In March 2019, added to it was the P-II shaft in the Polkowice-Sieroszowice Mine of KGHM Polska Miedź.
